Places to Eat in Philly
Place Description
Allegro Pizza - City Avenue
Excellent Pizza. Best Eggplant pizza I've ever tasted. When I'm in the area, which is almost never, I always eat here. Authentic Italian pizza.
Mustard Greens - Second & Bainbridge
Great Crispy Duck, if you like duck. Excellent Chinese restaurant, not your standard greasy chinese menu. They also have Chinese beer to go with the food.
Jim's Steaks - South Street

Some swear by Pat's Steaks, but, I like Jim's as well. Although, you've got to be sure to get Provolone Cheese and not that cheap Kraft Plastic Cheese in a Can, when you order a Philly Cheese Steak. This Cheese War is religious so be careful. ( Actually, I don't care what cheese you eat, just don't force me to eat that plastic stuff. )

For a real Sicilian cheese stake you put Hot Peppers and Hot Sauce on it too.

North Star Bar
Nice place near the Art Museum. Casual place to hang out.
La Grolla

Good Italian Restaurant. It's hard to pick a good Italian restaurant in Philly. Many have sold out to become "Spaghetti in a Box" restaurant's. It's just too much work to make pasta the way Grand ma did. Here's one of the hold outs.

General Notes about Italian Restaurants in Philly:
- A Sicilian dish is one cooked with Very Hot Red Peppers, not Red and Green Sweet Peppers. Hot means Hot.
- Many Italian restaurants Don't take Credit. Ask before you order.
